I’ve been fortunate enough to always work from concept to serial production, often solelyresponsible for mechanical design in project groups.During my career so far, I’ve worked with hydraulics (although not as a designer), Optical spectrographs, custom lighting fixtures, flashes and reflectors etc. for photography, as a consultant and now with electronic shelf labels.I’m passionate about being part of the very beginning to when a new product finds it’s way out on the market or to whomever is the end-user. The concept phase, prototyping and industrialization is often a bit of a rollercoaster, but things fall in place and the challenges have increased the satisfaction afterwards.There has been a lot of injection moulded plastic, die cast and extruded aluminium, sheet metal,milled and turned, simple optical, fabric……. and so on, parts included in products I’ve worked with so I’m familiar with most production methods out there. Some hands-on, like building prototypes, is a nice break from the monitor.
