Mr. Carruth’s experience has included the management of teams that provide monitoring of soils, geosynthetics, and associated appurtances. Over his twenty eight year construction career, Mr. Carruth has monitored the installation of over 30 million square feet of geosynthetics. Mr. Carruth has considerable experience with the provision of construction quality assurance (CQA) including monitoring of geosynthetics manufacturing operations, soils laboratory testing, construction of mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls, slurry wall installation, geotechnical investigations, and in-place testing. He is also familiar with hazardous waste site activities including the handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous wastes and emergency response procedures. He has also provided construction management services, which included: review of contractor submittals, review and recommendation of changes to project specifications, and acted as a liaison between contractors, consultants, and clients. In addition, Mr. Carruth has experience with groundwater monitoring well installation, acid dosing of high pH leachates, and has extensive experience with landfill and offshore gas well drilling, sample collection and classification.
