I have returned to Sequoia Group to continue working with distribution companies to help aid them with support on their FACTS ERP software through customization and training. I look forward to reacquainting with old friends and making new ones.

Greater Chicago Area

I oversaw the inventory management (purchasing, vendor cost management, maintenance of item information, meeting with vendors, etc.), inventory control (cycle counting, central distribution warehouse, warehouse organization, adjustments, training on procedures, etc.), and logistics (inter-branch transfers, maintenance of vehicle fleet). As part of a team, I helped to craft improvements to our policies, systems and procedures to reduce expenses, improve gross profit, and/or to become more efficient overall. I was the resident expert for our ERP software system and help train, educate, and bring about enhancements to improve our overall company. Overall, my charge was to essentially to get the job done by working through people. As the owner of Able routinely says: "Business is easy, people are hard."

A part of my job was related to pricing management in which I oversaw and maintained the pricing structure to Allred's customers. Worked closely with sales manager to address complaints regarding pricing and with purchasing to maintain the vendor costs in which pricing system was based upon. Helped implement a more strategic, profit enhancing system.I also oversaw the inventory control aspects of the company including cycle counts, reduction of surplus and excess inventory, inventory receipts, transfers, etc. Worked with sales and purchasing to reduce excess or surplus inventory.Allred's also had a manufacturing arm and I was involved in helping streamline procedures, automate tasks, and overall work to improve the profitability of this function.I also served on the Board of Directors and the Sales Committee helping to plan strategically and bring about changes overall within the company.Lastly, I was the resident expert on the ERP solution and helped train, educate, and bring about enhancements in that software.

My primary role at Sequoia was to help customers with questions or issues regarding the ERP software they were using. In addition to answering questions or fixing bug issues, I worked with clients to modify that software through custom enhancements. I also worked with customers as they migrated from one release to another, within the ERP or from another Software, with training and education of what changed. Lastly, would help train and offered consultation on best practices using the software within wholesaling environment.
