With his mother being the first female IT Manager in a Fortune 100 company, and his father working as an NCR mainframe salesman, John Case grew up around computers. His professional introduction to the field was at Allen-Bradley, where his duties rose from a box mover to a Software Engineer developing firmware for Single Board Computers. Staying in the CNC field, he founded ENC Group, Inc. and became a consulting lead developer on many successful projects ranging from waterjet cutting for the Navy, remanufacturing turbine blades for the Air Force, and a $20 million contract in milling machines for GMC. When mobile computers initially became feasible, John jumped into developing systems for Route Distribution Salespeople. First up was comprehensive package for Tombstone Pizza followed by 3000+ installations at Coca-Cola. On average, each route saved 30 minutes a day. A career highlight occurred at Coca-Cola when comparing promotion pricing and John’s software flushed out errors previously unknown to Coke. This system ran at many locations until the last ticket printed in 2017 due to hardware scarcity.Always wanting to rewrite the route management system, John grabbed the opportunity when new tools were released. ENC Group was sold and Aziom was created. A couple years later a best-in-class, Single-Page system rolled and has thus far created over half a million tickets. When not working, John can be found enjoying eclectic styles of music, spending time with his family and dog, or deep diving into US history.
