CurrentResponsibilities• Manage a Branch responsible for all major and minor capital works projects as well as the preventative and breakdown issues associated with nine prisons and twenty three community corrections centres scattered throughout South Australia.• Manage a reporting system which meets the needs of the project staff, DCS executives, DTF, and associated Ministers.Major Works• Manage the analysis of prisoner demand trends and the development of assets required to meet the projected demand.• Manage the preparation of Business Cases required to justify major capital works projects.• Manage the establishment of teams of staff and external professional consultants to deliver the approved major capital works.Minor Works• Manage the analysis of Asset Services Plans for all DCS sites and the development of minor works projects required to meet the on-going needs of the various sites.• Manage the preparation of Functional Briefs required to justify minor capital works projects.• Manage the establishment of teams of staff and external professional consultants to deliver the approved minor works.Preventative Maintenance• Manage the analysis of Asset Plans for all DCS sites and the development of preventative maintenance schedules required to meet the on-going needs of the various sites.• Manage the preparation of Scopes of Work required to specify the works required to ensure assets are maintained at an appropriate standard to meet DCS’s needs.• Manage the establishment of process and procedures to deliver the approved preventative maintenance programs.
