John is extremely excited to be joining the Helen Adams team and he can't wait to introduce you to your dream home. But first, introductions are in order! John comes to Helen Adams following an impressive 35 years in the Central Florida banking industry. There he gained extensive experience in commercial real estate lending, commercial lending, community small business lending, and new business development. Surprisingly, John says his biggest takeaway from his tenure was that people-and particularly, family-always come first. That same sentiment led him and his wife Jennifer to migrate north to Charlotte, NC-where they were overjoyed at the prospect of being only blocks away from their daughter and her (newly!) growing family.Beyond his investment in his family, John takes pride in his long-time involvement in numerous community organizations. More recently, he was awarded the Lydia Gardner 'Citizen of the Year' Award on behalf of the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce in 2017. John understands the importance of being fully immersed in one's community, and proudly served as a Board Member for several organizations in his former Winter Park, FL home, notably the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce Leadership Alumni Association.John earned a bachelor's degree in business administration at the University of Central Florida, as well as a graduate with honors from the Graduate School of Banking of the South, LSU. John and his wife, Jennifer, currently reside in Plaza Midwood and are active in their church community. They treasure spending time with their three adult children, and newest addition to the family, their granddaughter Katherine Murphy Hutchins.
