Undertook training in Systems Engineering disciplines. This included learning about Requirement Management, Project Architecture, Product Design, Product Integration and Testing, Project Lifecycles and also a week on Soft Skills.Following on from the 10 weeks of training I started working on projects. Currently I am working to create a software package to help manage projects in a more succinct and user friendly manner.

Aircraft Maintenance Technician (Avionics) Maintaining fleets of Tornado GR4 bomber aircraft. Testing, diagnosing, repairing, modifying, and operating aircraft and their components. These included electrical systems, armaments, engines and RADAR.Line Training Instructor JNCO Carried out training of new recruits, pilots, and firefighters on the Tornado GR4 bomber aircraft. Liaised with Squadrons, Air traffic control and senior management to ensure continuous supply of services to the station. Also facilitated tours around aircraft for the general public to help increase the connection between the station and the surrounding area. Updated the entire syllabus of presentations to enable them to be utilised on a new IT system that was being introduced. Software Developer Successfully planned, implemented and tested several modifications to subroutines and displays, within a strict time limit, to upgrade the aircraft’s current IFF system as part of a £260 million contract. Liaising with civilian companies, including Leidos, Leonardo and Northrop Grumman. Also managed other smaller amendments to the software to ensure updated information databases in collaboration with Qinetiq. To encourage cross section cohesion, organised afternoon outings to events like go-karting, bowling, and escape rooms. This helped encourage a whole team mentality when progressing projects, and highlighting issues with amendments.Aircraft Technician SNCO Managed a specialized team responsible for carrying out major repairs and maintenance on large C17 transport aircraft. The team consisted of highly skilled technicians and engineers, from both the RAF and Boeing, trained to diagnose, repair, and replace complex systems and components on the aircraft. Communicated with fellow team leaders during maintenance to ensure work would be able to progress concurrently, to ensure completion of tasks in a timely manner.
