Debt is a major issue in the US. Hardworking individuals across this country have little knowledge of how to make their money work for them and how to make an effective budget. My time working as a night custodian put me in contact with many of these people. They work hard but have little to no idea how to save their money. This experience has motivated me to pursue a major in Finance at Oregon State. Once I made it here, I learned a tremendous amount about the ins and outs of finance and accounting. Joining the Finance Club has given me the experience of going to major financial firms and meet with people working in financial advising, wealth management, and banking. Financial Advising is what I ultimately want to do in my career, and my work experience and university experience has reinforced my desire to pursue this field. If you feel like I would be a valuable asset to your company please contact me at Chaffejo@oregonstate.edu or by phone: (541)-286-8767.
