John is an experienced, high volume head and neck specialist surgeon with a large private and public hospital practice. He performs complex head and neck surgery every week. He has a special interest in thyroid and parathyroid surgery and performs over 150 thyroidectomy and parathyroidectomy operations a year. He also manages salivary gland lumps and tumours, patients presenting with a lump in the neck and cancer of the mouth, throat and skin of the head and neck.John is able to perform complex assessments in his office with flexible endoscopic examination of the nasal cavity and throat and he is an expert in ultrasound of the thyroid and neck. He is able to perform ultrasound guided needle biopsy at the initial consult without separate referral to a radiology or pathology practice. This environment creates a thorough, efficient and accurate assessment of patients with thyroid nodules and neck lumps. John also has advanced training and many years of experience in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and performs large numbers of rhinoplasty, otoplasty and blepharoplasty as well as reconstruction for cancer defects.
