I have three decades of experience as a leader and practitioner in technology and finance. I work closely with my teams to help realise aspirations and address key challenges. As CTO, I helped Whitespace grow from a single-room startup to nearly fifty staff across the UK. I've co-created a decision intelligence platform that is helping to rationalise multi-billion pound budgets, built a successful international challenger banking platform and guided an equity exchange through regulatory upheaval whilst also developing their greenfield surveillance system. During and after my PhD at Imperial, I published several papers in machine intelligence and automated reasoning. I have wide-ranging experience in finance technology and processes as a business/systems analyst and ACA. I enjoy beating difficult challenges and helping to create highly-effective teams to realise ambitious goals. I've worked at all levels of the technology stack, alongside developers in many languages, with the systems architects, security and devops teams, as one of the business analysts or project/product managers and I've built teams, engaged suppliers and helped guide high-level strategy and delivery.
