Architected, and contributed to the deployment of, Oracle DataGuard and VMware Site Recovery Manager. Developed cutover runbooks and test plans.• 2013: Architect for non-disruptive migrations of many applications between metro datacenters as part of Tribune Publishing/Tribune Media divesture.• 2011-2012: Application architect lead for design and buildout of new extranets and virtualized server farms, and migration of web applications to these extranets.• 2010: Architect contributor and application migration lead for datacenter migration from a non-converged architecture (Cisco Catalyst switches, Dell and Sun servers, Brocade fibre channel switches, EMC fibre channel storage) to a converged architecture (Cisco Nexus switching, Cisco UCS server blades, NetApp storage and VMware server virtualization)• 2009: Architect contributor/analyst for selecting a single vendor and device standards as company consolidated all IT departments into a single IT company.

Architected these systems to ensure the web presence could function without interruption through hardware and software maintenance, or through sudden high traffic news events.Project Highlights:• 2008-2009: Lead the infrastructure build-out for an on-premises hosting environment for our web products, and coordinated migration from AT&T Redwood City data center to the on-premises data center.

Installed, integrated, and supported LIM's "Market Information Machine" (a financial database/decision support application) at Fortune 500 investment banks and other trading firms in Chicago, New York, Boston, Toronto and Bermuda. Integrated our product with a wide range of target systems (Solaris, HPUX, AIX) and applications (real-time data sources and trading research systems). Built and administered IT systems (Solaris systems, Windows 95 and Windows NT systems, networking, email and printing) used for business support, customer support, and quality assurance in the Chicago office.
