Graduated with a 1st class Honours in MBBS from University of Queensland. After completing my internship in Brisbane, proceeded for basic surgical training. After obtaining the surgical FRCS (Edinburgh) in 1990, I returned to Singapore for advanced training. In 1996, I was sent to US by Singapore MOH for a fellowship and on returning joined the National University of Singapore as an Assist Prof in Surgery. In 2002, I pursued my MBA at the University of Chicago, graduating with Honours. After a stint at Exploit Tech, part of A*Star, I joined GE HealthCare as the regional Product/Marketing mgr for ASEAN. In Sept 2007, I moved to the role of Medical Director for Medical Diagnostics, GE Healthcare for Asia Pacific.I bring with me, combined clinical, research and business experiences,strengths in reviewing and overseeing Investigator-Sponsored/Initiated Trials. .I have worked with cross-functional teams across cultures and geographies and create value to the business. .Moved to Sanofi after 8 1/2 years in GE Healthcare to assume role of Global Medical Director for Sanofi Biosurgery. Later I spent 9 months in Immunology and Inflammatory covering diverse diseases such as pulmonary fibrosis, atopic eczema. Then cover Biosurgery, Renal, Pain and Rheumatology. Work with various business units globally (ex-US) as the main medical resourceMedical planning and strategy for clinical data generation through animal studies, ISTs and CSTsReview Global promotional and training materials.
