Carrying out Inspections and audits.  Ensuring Compliance to all Safety Procedures.  Reporting of Hazards, incidents and injuries.  Carrying out inductions for new employees.  Complying weekly reports and monthly reports.  Liaise with on-site contractors to ensure compliance with company safety regulations and adherence to safety standards.  Identify unsafe acts, conditions and hazards and identify corrective and preventative actions and report to management.  Ensure management system be complaint with local government standards including corrective and preventive measures.  Monitor contract safety representatives in executing continuous audits.  Investigate the root cause of HSE complaints put forward to staff members, customers, clients and contractors and report the results to the HSE.  Follow and ensure that corrective actions implemented where necessary and ensure that certification requirements are complied with.  Audit work is being performed with “SAFE WORK PERMIT”.  Assist with the implementation of job safety analysis and inspect job site activities during particular difficult or hazardous work situations.  Coordinate and participate in the investigation of accidents and near misses.  Review and analyze accidents and near miss accidents and making corrective action recommendations.  Ensure that Operators, employees, contractors and site visitors receive HSE inductions for site visits and operations.  Report to HSE Manager daily and weekly.  To ensure competent drives and operators on site who have valid permits to drive and operate such mine machines.
