Line items on the Experience section don't capture the number of hats I wear on a daily basis. First off, I am a father of two and husband. Collaborative projects and management have been a theme that permeates all aspects of my professional life. Working with intelligent, motivated, and positive peers and young people has allowed me to push myself in all realms of life. As part of the administrative staff at VVS, I have been tasked with wearing many hats. The management aspects include daily communication and execution of planning and implementation of policy, process and procedures necessary to keep a healthy, safe and prosperous learning environment. I have run ten day backpacking trips into the Grand Canyon, travelled to Malawi, Africa to document and participate in a service trip with students, and through my work with ESPN travelled and worked with some of the most talented athletes and television production professionals in the game. My X Games television production team won an Emmy in 2002 for Outstanding Technical Team Remote.I am Director of Technology, responsible for all aspects of technology at VVS, a school that espouses many of my own philosophies about how to live life. I run the mountain biking program as well, which allows me to share the passion I have for bikes and physical activity as a means to access nature and challenge oneself. I manage the composting program that collects 100% of the school food waste, processes it and then uses it in the school farm. This led me to the Sustainability Coordinator position, which was developed to connect all of the schools sustainability efforts under one administrative umbrella. I have produced many video projects for the school to spread the word about what an amazing place it is.
