Changed the culture of the women’s basketball program to one that was successful on the basketball court and in the classroom. Joined and finished third in Arrowhead Conference in 1997-98. Defeated #18 nationally ranked and eventual conference champions in 1997-98. Coached Distinguished Academic All-American and Academic All-American in 1997-98. Directed leading rebounder in the state of Illinois and third nationally in 1996-97. Outscored opponents in 1997-98, first time in ten seasons.
