Groupage Coordinator | Logistics and Transport | Customer ServiceHi there! I'm John, a logistics professional with considerable operations experience, mainly in the groupage (LTL) sector.Having studied Transport Management at TU, Dublin, my career commenced in an administrative role within the operations office of an established groupage operator. In addition, I was soon tasked with the efficient execution of accounting month end of our city-wide network of warehouses and the reporting of resultant revenues.I then progressed into roles such as Irish Exports/Continental Imports clerk and Groupage Import Co-Ordinator (with heavy emphasis on customer service and maintenance of Customer Service Agreements). I also was called upon to provide assistance on off-site warehouse projects when necessary, working as part of a team in the distribution office and on the warehouse floor. i.e. stock-takes, stock transfers involving new customers, data input.I then attained the position of Exports Manager with another leading logistics provider, having responsibility for the efficient and timely despatch of up to ten groupage trailers on a nightly basis. Having retained an ongoing passion and curiosity for the industry during my time spent away from the logistics sector, providing services as an English language conversationalist, I upgraded/expanded my skillset during this time via the MITx series of Supply Chain Management courses. More recently, I have added C1 certification (advanced) in Spanish to my skillset and remain open to opportunities in the logistics / supply chain / customer service fields where I can add value.
