Responsible for the development and implementation of company-wide policies and practice in reservoir characterization, OOIP determination, geoscience data acquisition, as well as the development of new geoscience tools, methods, cross disciplinary tech transfer, and mentoring/advising inputs for staff development.

My mandate is to ensure that strategic, tactical and operational decisions are made, delivered, and well founded on appropriate technical analysis in line with good oilfield practice, working with a diverse and talented team comprising Subsurface, Drilling, Facilities and Operations disciplines. Working closely with the Asset Manager, I ensure that short, medium and long term appraisal and development plans are in place for the asset. I coordinate asset support through driving work programs of multiple technical resources across the breadth of upstream functions, and seek to add value where possible via asset centric exploration for new play opportunities. I ensure timely and high quality input for effective management of the Montney Unconventional Gas Assets in NE British Columbia, including field development planning, reserves estimation, reporting, and inputs for economic modeling for business valuation. My position also requires management of technical staff in career development, performance appraisal, and career/technical coaching. I find that the most challenging, critical aspects of my role involve managing the inherent risks in the Upstream business across a wide range of disciplines, and understanding how these can be managed through appropriate selection of appraisal programs and optimum concept selection.

Senior Geoscientist Lead: providing high quality geoscience input, support, and group leadership to the exploration, appraisal, field development and reservoir management of Sasol's extensive shale/tight gas resource assets in NE British Columbia and NW Alberta.

Senior Geological Advisor with a broad mandate covering reservoir development and exploration assets in Alaska, Mid Continent USA, offshore Brazil and Venezuela. Active in fracture applied research topics including modeling of natural fracture systems and integrated workflows for fractured reservoirs from characterization through reservoir simulation, with a special interest in coupled geomechanical-fluid flow simulation.
