Anthrocon is a nonprofit organization focused on an annual social event for its members. 2022 membership was over 9,500 individuals. Anthrocon selects a charity each year for its annual convention held in downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Anthrocon works closely with Visit Pittsburgh and other city entities to foster a beneficial relationship local hotels, businesses, and city entities. According to Visit Pittsburgh analytics, Anthrocon was responsible for over $10 million contributed to the downtown Pittsburgh economy in 2022.
