The weapon system’s I stay current on all qualifications are M240, M249, MK18, and Glock 19. To also include familiarization on AK47 and non-lethal weapons systems. As part of the Embassy Liaison Unit (ELU) team, I operate as a Protective security Specialist. My duties include providing close protection for dignitaries hosting meetings, their guests, protective security teams, and drivers of visiting Dignitaries. I am also responsible for ensuring all involved visiting guest security are aware of any changes/updates that are essential to their safety. Critical to numerous high visibility missions from the Regional Security Office (RSO) ensuring safe entry/ exit and overall accountability of all Diplomats and visitors to The Chief of Mission Residence, Deputy Chief of Mission Residence, and all venues on Baghdad Embassy Compound (BEC) ELU is accountable. My other tasks include ensuring all vehicles are mission capable, current license plates, and Diplomatic placards. PACE plan protocol for Emergency Center for all venues/routes on the BEC and after-action reviews

I evaluated terrain, used maps and map overlays to determine safe havens, chokeholds, and other potential threats in pre-mission assessments for main body convoys to conduct PSD operations. This allowed me to place major weapon systems at high travel areas and the most direct avenues of approach for security. This allowed us to conduct recon on a village when assigned to the advance team, I led a team to enter and clear multiple buildings and rooms (RET) for the safety of various principals to conduct business. Where I lead my team after arriving to conduct searches on personnel and vehicles before entering the home or the village. Maintained effective notes, records, and operational journal. As a first-line supervisor, directs the utilization of personnel and equipment; coordinates unit actions with adjacent and supporting elements; ensures proper collection and reporting of intelligence data. As part of my ability to be an instructor I was able to train a subordinate leader to become assistant team leader during a high tempo training event which led to a seamless transition. Having them direct deploy and employ all personnel; reads, interprets, and collects intelligence information; distributes administrative and training documents; trains subordinate personnel. As the Senior Leader (supervisor), I supervised four Junior Supervisors as they train personnel in infantry operations and intelligence activities; I have assisted higher Leadership within my command in planning, organizing, directing, supervising, training, coordinating, and reporting training activities and reports. Trained new Junior Supervisors in directing deployment and employment of personnel; of subordinate units; supervises receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies, equipment, and provides oral and written mission briefs; assists in production and administration of staff journals, files, records, and reports.
