    My present interests are: working with the World Federation for Mental Health of which I am a past president and present chairman of the Disaster Support Initiative.At present working with colleagues in Liverpool on the development of the Global Mental Health Assessment Tool (GMHAT) a computerised assessment, diagnostic and treatment tool to skill up health workers where there are inadequate numbers of nurses and psychiatrists. Primary care versions are up and running and available free in English and some other languages. A secondary care version is also available but the diagnostic validity studies are awaiting completion.
