-Leader of therapeutic antibody engineering efforts for internal programs including enhancement of effector function, optimization for manufacturability and deimmunization.-Leader of multidisciplinary therapeutic antibody project team that successfully generated a lead molecule with potent effector function killing. -Project team leader for IND enabling activities including coordinating the establishment of biomarkers, securing IP, toxicological evaluation and manufacturing. -Manage antibody discovery and screening functional group responsible for phage display and hybridoma based antibody generation.

-Preclinical project team leader of therapeutic antibody programs with a successful track record of creating valuable preclinical pipeline assets. -Leader of a preclinical protein interaction biosensor group with experience managing and motivating scientists to be successful individual contributors and effective project team representatives. -Extensive experience in the quantitative determination of equilibrium and kinetic parameters for protein-protein interactions including antibodies, receptors, ligands and cytokines using SPR (Biacore), KinExA, stopped-flow fluorescence and other biophysical methodologies.-Detailed understanding of critical path activities required for therapeutic antibody discovery including target selection, phage panning, screening, expression, purification, biophysical characterization, engineering, pharmacological evaluation and lead selection.-Expertise in the design of innovative panning and screening strategies for the discovery of therapeutic antibodies with unique mechanisms of action including allosteric modulators and allosteric agonists.-Experienced in the use of biophysical and cell based approaches to characterize the molecular mechanisms of action for therapeutic antibodies.

Developed and applied novel research tools to elucidate the targeting specificity and membrane docking mechanism of human protein signaling domains involved in neutrophil chemotaxis and inflammation.•Adapted and applied a new method to measure equilibrium and kinetic parameters for the binding of soluble proteins to synthetic liposomal membranes. The technique utilized protein-to-membrane fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) and small molecule inhibitors to yield a model for the membrane targeting mechanism of pleckstrin homology protein domains.•Elucidated the ligand binding mechanism of a signaling protein motif that regulates a wide range of critical signaling events at membrane surfaces in response to lipid second messengers.•Identified the lipid determinates of targeting specificity for calcium dependent membrane binding domains.
