1983 to Present L ead Plant ControllerPlant Controller working on Vinyl Chloride Monomer plant (VC3). The plant is a top tier COMAH registered and under regulatory control from IPPC, EA and SHE quality assurance.As plant controller I completed aspects of work form the Distributed Control System (Foxboro IA) to outside duties. I undertook such things as start up/shut down of equipment. Monitoring the plant for efficiency. Preparation of equipment for maintenance. Completion of audit schedules and recording and storing of data. I was also actively involved in the planning of maintenance and the development of Job method statements/analysis and work scopes. I prepared all necessary paperwork for maintenance and shutdown work and have a good understanding of engineering diagrams and QA systems. Since joining the plant in 1983 I undertook a role in each shutdown/task event that had taken place. I have worked as system manager/owner and as a safety officer. I gained invaluable experience of working in a high pressure environment where targets and time management are critical. The plant has a diverse range of equipment including distillation columns, fridge units, cracking furnaces, heat exchangers/interchangers and reactors.
