My primary client was TitleClose - web based, consumer friendly, open, informative and transparent ability for everyone – Consumers, Realtors, Lenders, all customers – to shop for the latest products and services from title and settlement providers across the nation. I also provided AWS Cloud Engineering support for their platform and architecture.

Partnering with DVMobile, our team developed Node.js backend development: REST API, WebRTC for call recording, caching, playback. Waveform viewer customization with secure S3 signed urls, tagging, speed, and volume adjustment. Cloud architecture implementation – HIPAA, HITRUST - partnering with ClearData.

Partnering with DVMobile, led team on initial development for a COSU device for home security. Managed deliverables including CI/CD automation for client. Dealt with networking components, peering, aided in UI/UX, and back-end services. Transitioned internal development to client owned code, assets, and automation pipelines/processes.

Lead Cloud Migration Architect - collaborated with multiple teams (DevIQ, ABinBev, Techtonic, Qlik, Aculytics, GCP, and AWS) to globally deliver Qlik BI software. Primary objectives were migrating Qlik from GCP to AWS and maintaining global distribution & access for teams in US and China with low latency. Using ultra high compute/memory on dedicated cloud resources, fixed SSL cert issues, increase performance, guided Qlik engineers to deliver patches, and globally distributed the application/data to regions in China, Japan, Korea, and Singapore; the most performant and best solution for their Chinese team.Demonstrated ability to deliver immediate results transitioning Qlik from GCP to AWS. Stabilized the software and hardware (both what and globally positioned where) putting out a raging fire that was interfering with ABinBev's ability to analyze their data and present visual information concerning brand insights to major stakeholders. The challenge was met and and everything finally came to homeostasis. ABinBev now owns and operates a consistent and repeatable process that they know, trust, and can distribute anywhere in the world.

Partnering with PCG of Asheville, I fulfilled a short term contract to design, architect and deliver a secure, high-performance state wide survey of North Carolina K-12 students. I was brought in to implement a high performance / high availability cloud based solution. Using .NET C#, SAML, and MSSQL we designed and implemented a scalable and redundant solution to recieve 4.2 million surveys in a very small window of time. Primary responsibilities were for the Cloud architecture as well as all the UI/UX implementation using HTML5, Bootstrap, LESS/CSS, and jQuery - fully responsive design.

There was the obvious education process going on with lots of reading and writing papers. I learned a lot about running, operating, and managing all aspects of a business. I also learned about researching and understanding successful organizations. What they do and how they do it is not only important to understand, but essential to learn from and emulate if possible. Specifically though, I homed in on Marketing Research with Dr. Basil Englis (Edgerton Professor of Marketing, Berry College and Managing Partner at Mind/Share, Inc). We began developing online mechanisms to capture rich qualitative and quantitative data from targeted users. We would then compile the information (in-depth reports and analytics) for client delivery. It was a wonderful experience and the genesis of my love for UI / UX development and solving end user challenges.
