Public service shapes my life. Working 14 years globally across U.S. and indigenous non-profits, government and academia, I added value by creating innovative solutions to sustain their public mission at pivotal turning points. Living and working across 27 countries further convinced me that public service turns the world in the right direction. A conviction which drove me to earn my Master of Public Health and continuously advance my 14-year career building capacity within the humanitarian aid profession. Of which 6 ½ years were backstopping emergency responses within the Global Emergency Response Coalition, 3 ½ years of humanitarian aid field experience in Fiji, Japan, and Kenya, and most recently 3 ½ years in the US government's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).A combination of quality education and hardened experience permits me to work independently with a clear sustainable vision. Yet I thrive in cross-cultural teams where I can deepen my respect for our complex values and enjoy a cornucopia of perspectives.
