ONYX Insight is a global business, fully owned by BP, delivering solutions for the wind energy industry. Responsibilities include:• Managing a portfolio of advanced sensing products, making up approximately a third of ONYX’s global revenue.• Defining product roadmaps, analysing the market and defining product requirements.• Attending events, gaining insights from customers and speaking at global conferences.• Working with sales and marketing teams to launch new products, leading all aspects of offer creation including messaging and pricing strategy.• Managing a team of 12 people consisting of product management, engineering, supply chain and quality.• Director/board member of ONYX’s UK entity, Insight Analytics Solutions Ltd., reporting directly to the CEO.• KPIs include hardware units shipped across all product lines and global targets for revenue and profit margin.

Responsible for leading engineering teams and developing new hardware and sensor product offerings. Responsibilities included:• Product management and product development for Advanced Sensing products including strategic roadmapping, product definition and pricing.• Technical and commercial leadership for a team of 10 people including, hardware development, embedded software development, supply chain and quality functions.• Implemented Agile processes to streamline new product development.

InSight was a joint venture which spun off from Romax Technology. Responsibilities included:• Technical leadership and line management for 11 staff including software development, hardware development and engineering consultancy teams.• Defining software product roadmaps; working with global clients and stakeholders to capture product requirements.• Creating and executing marketing plans for all software and hardware products, delivering marketing collateral including websites, print/digital media, webinars and technical content.• Managing new patent applications and maintaining an existing IP portfolio.

• Leading a team of sales/business development and sales operations staff.• Defining sales strategy for the Insight business unit in Europe.• Scaling up the delivery of wind turbine monitoring services globally.

• Managing a global team of engineers responsible for services and consultancy projects.• Supporting global sales teams.• Winning and delivering funded R&D projects.

• Defining software product roadmaps; working with global clients and stakeholders to capture product requirements.• Interfacing with the Software Development Team to define scope and timing plans.
