Currently seeking my next opportunity- To join a large yacht where I can continue to utilise my many years of experience in hospitality, food and beverage service and knowledge of all interior departments. I attended the United Kingdom Sailing Academy in 2008 departing with certificates in Professional Marine Hospitality, specialising in guest care as well as Professional Etiquette and Protocol expected of interior crew, as well as qualifications relevant to Deck and Galley giving me a better understanding of all departments. Over the past 10 years within the yachting industry, I have worked on yachts ranging from 60m to 115m, working in all departments, privet and charter, including the galley, not to mention 8 years land based hospitality experience, I believe the combination of all of the above is my strongest attribute enabling me to excel in this industry. I provide calm, constructive leadership with positive reinforcement, not dominance, the result I strive to deliver is a discreet and professional service, executed to the standard of nothing less then perfect.

Fleet Butler To The PrincipalShark Fleet May 2017 - Jan 2019World WideI have been extremely privileged to hold the desirable position of Chief Steward for the last year within this large and prestigious operation, that position progressed to Fleet Butler to the Principle, working and traveling within a fleet of yachts ranging from 36m up to 115m, as well as other assets, land based and airborne.I brought my extensive experience and my encyclopaedic knowledge of the principle to aid the smoothest transition possible between his assets, lead, train, advise and motivate crew and staff alike, whilst maintaining a level of service executed as close to perfection as humanly possible.I was able to advise, inform and liaise with all senior crew onboard as well as the shoreside management. All the above has provided me with some amazing experiences and I hope this opens a new set of exciting doors in the future.

Temporary Interior ManagerMotor Yacht Ace Jun 2016 - Sep 2016WorldwideI joined M/Y Ace on the 1st of July 2016 to relieve the Interior Manager, there was a position opening for rotation within this position, but from the beginning I was made aware the owner had requested someone mid to late 40’s, I was given the opportunity in the hope he may change his mind, sadly this was not the case.Whilst on-board, I continued to manage the interior to the exact request and instruction of the full time Interior Manager, I had a large interior team of 11, divided between service and house keeping and laundry, the expectations of the owner was at a level I have never experienced before now.I managed 4 trips with the owner and guests, closely liaising with the Captain, Executive Chef and the Owners Representative. Even though I wasn’t offered a permanent contract, I stayed on to start project managing the multimillion Euro interior refit in the absence of the current Interior Manager.

Chief Steward/PurserMotor Yacht Talisman C Feb 2014 - Jun 2016WorldwideIn February 2014, I was rushed to Costa Rica, just 8 days before the owner was due to step on board due to the last Chief being dismissed.I spent what little time I had, bringing the yacht back up to the desired standard, with no hand-over, guest preferences or any helpful information of any kind.Straight after that trip I oversaw a busy and tight yard period in the USA, along with provisioning in preparation for the upcoming Mediterranean season. I completed a full update and restock of all crew uniform due to a high turnaround of crew including 3 out of the 6 of my interior.Day to day was spent looking after a rotation of 3 families all with very different preferences and routines, even though this yacht was private, we had a charter feel with fancy dress, weekly theme nights and a total of 7 children to entertain, as well as continuing with my duties as purser, overseeing the all cash/credit cards/crew flights and visas and maintaining the yacht to the highest standards.

Chief StewardMotor Yacht Constellation Jun 2013 - Aug 2013Doha, QatarI took on the 8-week position as relief Chief Steward on board M/Y Constellation, the privet yacht of the Qatari Royal family based in Doha.I continued to run the interior as per the Chief Stewards instructions, the yacht was on stand-by 24/7 so the interior had to be immaculately presented at all times.Responsible for a team of 8 other interior crew, split between specific roles, my duties included admin, cash/credit card accounts, weekly food/drink/flower provisioning.I organised maintenance on a tight schedule whilst pushing through quotes for the upcoming winter refit. I was also benefited from multiple guest trips to see and understand the logistics of working on such a high profile and demanding yacht.

Service/2Nd StewardMotor Yacht Cloud 9 Nov 2009 - Nov 2012WorldwideIn November 2009 I was lucky to join an almost new 60m as Service Steward, it was my perfect roll onboard, I was responsible for service from breakfast to when the last guest had retired for the night, when I joined, there was also a 2nd stewardess, when she moved on I was also given the title of 2nd Steward. I enjoyed this yacht so much I worked full time for over 3 years and only left as I knew there wasn't space for career progression. I have also been asked back twice since leaving, 1st time I acted as solo stew to deliver the yacht from Monaco to Abu Dhabi and work over the Grand Prix, the 2nd time was to accommodate the VIP guests onboard whilst the yacht was for sale as they only had skeleton interior crew.
