• Evaluate, manage, treat, and coordinate care for patients with hematologic cancers, including those patients that have had a stem cell transplant.• Collaborate daily with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other supportive personnel.• Helped establish and run an Adolescent & Young Adult Clinic to recognize and address the unique needs of this population.• Identify and manage emergent patient conditions including sepsis, tumor lysis, and transfusion reactions.• Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory tests to help in identifying and assessing patients' condition daily.• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care based on all characteristics of the individual, including age, values, culture, stage of life, state of health, and previous experience.

• Coordinate care for patients with lymphoma, CLL, and various hematologic diseases as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.• Educate and counsel newly diagnosed patients on features of their illness, available resources, survivorship care, and treatment side effects.• Efficiently and thoroughly assess individual patient and family needs and report findings to the primary team.• Maximize patient care through fielding patient calls, answering questions, addressing concerns, or facilitating communication between patients and their care teams.

• Manage large clinical and translational research studies through monitoring data collection and coordinating communications between lab personnel, computation personnel, biostatisticians, and project principal investigators.• Advise clients in sequencing options to optimize data output while minimizing cost and sample input.• Assist Core Director in billing clients for services using an electronic system.• Manage and train new employees on the variety of next-generation sequencing techniques routinely performed in the lab.

• Assist with preparation of manuscripts, grants, and research abstracts by creating methods sections, editing, and budgeting monthly.• Conduct semi-annual reviews of our 15-person laboratory with principal investigator.• Maintain and communicate up-to-date quality and safety records in accordance with medical center policies, • Manage procurement for multiple projects and reduced costs by weekly negotiate pricing on laboratory items.• Teach laboratory techniques to medical fellows, rotating graduate students and other research assistants to smooth their transition into the lab.
