I have worked in the utility industry for the past twenty years. Major contracts including the water, gas, electric,Bt. and most recent virgin media. I started as a Grabdriver and learned safe digging techniques whilst working on these contracts. My roles have changed over the years to supervise men on site and also to manage teams of direct labour as well as sub-contractors. I have managed over 30 teams in the past who have been responsible for different tasks like digging, jointing, operating heavy plant and reinstatement. I have worked for amey, Balfour Beatty, Morgan est, carillion and john Kennedy’s in the past as well as a number of contractors. My experience and understanding of these utility companies has helped me in my career at different levels. I work well with others and pass on my wealth of experience wherever possible. I push myself to be the best I can be what ever I do.
