As NASA operations lead, I worked in the Russian Mission Control Center (MCC or TsUP) in the front room to talk directly with Mike daily on the activities. This included after the Program Collision with Mir in July 1997. I transitioned to ISS program leading design and development and operations of the Houston Support Group (HSG) in Moscow in 1998 which was active and on-line when the FGB launched on Nov 20th, 1998. Thie HSG is still in operation today.
