Responsible for facilitating the implementation of Unipart’s Health and Safety policies across multiple sites. Providing technical health and safety support to individual sites, business units and projects. and promoting the principle that effective management of health and safety is an integral part of efficient business and operational management.

UK

• Lead the health and safety team across the XPO UK Transport business including;
• Identifying, developing, implementing and delivering strategies and policies to ensure the business manages Health, Safety effectively.
• Identifying strategic goals and aligning team objectives to meet XPO internal business and external client requirements.
• Leading in the development of policy / process - through effective consultation with senior Management, and internal / external colleagues and stakeholders.
• Responsibility for the development and provision of strategic QHSE support across the XPO transport & distribution business to assist with business efficiency & compliance.
• Maintaining knowledge and application of UK HSE legislation, raising awareness across the business and advising of relevant changes.

Midlands

• Influencing people at all levels to improve the safety culture within the business
• HSEQ support and leadership to XPO transport operations across the Midlands.
• Accident investigation, prevention & reporting.
• Site audit – ISO 14001 & 9001.
• Point of contact for external bodies.

Manchester

Based in Manchester with a UK wide responsibility for providing Health and Safety leadership & support to a multi site distribution operation and almost 300 High street retail stores.

Liverpool

Base manager with budgetary responsibilityOver 200 full and part time staff (Unionised) including management teamSafety & Operational leadership for the siteWorking in partnership with airline customers to provide a safe, efficient, and cost effective ground handling service.

Manchester

• Based in Manchester providing health and safety leadership and support to ground handling operations at all major airports in the UK, including;
• Conducting quality, health & safety audits & both UK and Europe.
• Delivering Servisair management training for UK Managers.
• Accident investigation, personal injury and aircraft incident
• Point of contact for external bodies i.e. HSE
• Risk assessments for all sites
