Supervisor: UMASS University Campus, Worcester Responsibilities included: Accountable for all aspects of processing of instrumentation Proactively aided SPD and nursing staff to manage priority instrumentation for emergent situations Actualized specialty instrumentation into instrument tracking system  Collaborated with OR coordinators to amend preference cards/pick lists to suite surgeon needs Added a prompt within the instrument tracking system to alert staff if a set required an extended sterilization time for all in-house inventory

Responsibilities include: Instrument set inventory & assembly.  Appointed to oversee department in absence of supervisor  Appointed orthopaedic-trauma team lead and often in charge of tracking loaner instrumentation throughout the facility Selected to be co-chair of Surgical Services Performance Improvement Committee  Assisted with the implementation of case carts system and proactively aided with the revisions to pick sheets/preference cards, etc. Aided and relied upon to assist other coworkers with the proper utilization of the instrument tracking system

Responsibilities included: Processing (decontamination/sterilization) of all forms of surgical devices and instrumentation. Quality control of processed items through consistent biological monitoring. Inventory control of the majority of clinical supplies dispensed throughout the various areas.  Served as liaison between first and second shift and often conducted in-services on new procedures, equipment and instrumentation for the second shift Created a practice with management whereby priority vendor instrumentation would not be needlessly unavailable in the event of emergent procedures Independently developed a system with Materials Management whereby surgical implants were more efficiently re-stocked and re-ordered which stressed accountability Served as chair of Lean Green Program which created the first successful hospital-wide recycling program
