I am a Chemical Engineering graduate (Cum Laude), currently working at DENR - EMB (Central Office) WQMS/MBO as Environmental Management Specialist.My life started in my hometown in Quezon City. At an early age, life taught me to be ingenious and resourceful. Those skills that I learned brought me to where I am today. Curiosity, ingenuity, and resourcefulness made me able to finish my degree with flying colors. And also with those skills, I was able to graduate without giving my parents financial burdens. All thanks to DOST, I was able to help my family in small ways and finance my college years.University of the Philippines - Los Baños is a very reputable university and I am grateful to be one of its students who values "honor and excellence," honor first, before excellence. I am really proud of myself as I finished my undergraduate degree with a flying color (Cum Laude). So far, my whole stay in college has taught me not only academics but also life lessons and techniques. Living away from my family taught me to be wise, practical, and resourceful in order to survive and finish my degree. I am thankful that I learned all of those skills as it is crucial in adult life. At the university, I am a member of an organization known as UP Alliance of Chemical Engineering Students (UP AChES). My organization has taught me also a lot of things. They gave me opportunities to lead and head some activities namely, Thesis and Practicum Orientation and ChE Ultimate Bonding Experience. Having headships vastly improved my communication skills, leadership skills, and professionalism, and gave me the ability to assess myself and others constructively for the betterment of the events. These skills that I developed during my headship days will definitely be a key to an excellent performance and contribution once you let me be part of your team.My growth did not end in the university alone. From July to Aug 2021, I underwent an internship program under the Philippine Insitute of Chemical Engineers (PIChE) - Laguna chapter. The internship focused on sustainability which is a topic I am very interested in. I was able to learn about sustainability as a whole and more in-depth topics like sustainable packaging, sustainable energy, and wastewater treatment. The internship has taught me technical and research skills which I will surely apply in the actual field, for the development of myself and the company I will be part of.
