My main role in the clinic is providing personal training as well as 1-2-1 rehabilitation. Working as a MDT with the other medical professionals. Rehabilitation sessions consist of an assessment from either myself or one of the other medical professionals. Using this information the client will sit down with myself and set out achievable goals, be that personal goals or goals set out by myself to progress rehabilitation. Rehabilitation sessions will vary according to the injury and goals in questions, this provides tailored rehabilitation. This job role requires great organisation skills to be able to implement sessions and plan sessions around clients weekly schedules. It also requires a enthusiastic and motivating individual to keep clients engaged throughout long periods or rehabilitation that can be laborious at times. The role is not solely based around rehabilitation. People looking to better the physical well-being or even performance. Using my bio-mechanical knowledge, I provide training to enhance movement for individuals with poor mobility or for those individuals who need movement analysis in order to improve performance. This type of training will look into joint movements to find which areas of the body are inhibiting the bodies kinetic chain.
