Code and debug projects related to Property and Casualty Insurance

I have been a COBOL programmer for 29 years with the first 10 years in a mainframe environment. For the last 19 years I have been working as an AS/400 COBOL programmer. I have also been coding CLP’s and FTP’s for the batch cycles to execute nightly. During my time I worked as part of a team and I later transitioned to the team leader. One of my duties was the responsibilities was to correct problems that occurred with the cycles that ran at night. My day to day duties included coding new applications both batch and online, enhancing existing code due to errors encountered, doing quality control of my test work and other colleagues code before the code was moved to customer acceptance testing. I also was available to answer questions or offer suggestions to colleagues had questions about assigned work.
