I write programs that interface with the 3D CAD system CATIA. Most development activities involve automating the design and processing of mechincal, electrical, piping, structural, equipment parts and systems as well as 2D drawings. Most of the coding is done using VB.NET. Other languages include C, C++ and C#. I have also written scripts for SmarTeam, a databse used with CATIA

I worked in the Data Conversion group migrating 3D data into CATIA using automation. I developed programs in VB.NET/VB6 to reduce migration time and manual effort. I also worked with ENOVIA APIs and CATIA V6.

Architect and developer for a unique program that converted ProE 2D drawings into CATIA 2D drawings with an active link between the solids in the view with the 3D part file. The entire process used VB6 on Windows, C on UNIX and FTP protocol. The process is still used by Dassault Systemes for data translation.Architect and developer of a product that converted IGES data into CATIA(a major 3D CAD system), 3D solids. The product was sold for 10 years.Developed a translation program for Newport News Shipbuilding (now Northrup Grumman) to convert their mechanical, piping and equipment designs from their own in-house CAD program to CATIA. The language used was C.Lead programmer developing automation and process programs for CATIA, . Customer base included TRW, Boeing, Parker, Husqvarna and others.

Manufacturing Eng on a printer assembly line.Lead ME in several computer development departments. Developed state of the art, first of its kind nurses workstation for use in hospitals. Received a patent for keyboard design.Headed up development of hardened tablet for JB Hunt trucking. First computer in IBM to survive 6 foot drop onto a concrete floor and could be submersed under water and still continue operating. It also included satellite connection capability with the Qualcomm communications system.
