John has been an integral part of S.G. Cunningham for more than three decades. Knowing he wanted to work for the family company when he was a teen, John gained practical, hands-on experience at every stage of a construction project as he worked his way from Apprentice Carpenter to Vice-President of Construction & Business Development. Today, John facilitates projects from the ground up, oversees the on-site team, and liaises with company stakeholders, including present clients, prospective clients, and the general public. John ensures that every project bearing the S.G. Cunningham name is worthy of such a designation, whether it’s a small door-installation or a multi-million-dollar project building a company’s new international headquarters. He believes that no matter the size of a project, everything done by S.G. Cunningham must live up to the highest standards. Bringing his quick Irish wit to every interaction, John enjoys making meaningful connections and friendships through golf, squash, and anything that involves copious amounts of adrenalin (though his racing days are behind him) and attending music festivals.
