Provide overall direction for all aspects of foundation operations and program activities. Manage program officers, associates, and contract researchers, including more than 100 professionals. Prepare and present reports to the board of directors on foundation operations, research programs, annual spending plans, policies, and other related issues. Guide and serve on foundation daily operations team, including monitoring finances, contracts, policies, and related legal matters. Guide multiple monthly program officer and network professional meetings and workshops. Provide final review of foundation publications. Represent foundation at major events and to allied organizations across the country and around the world.

Served on multidisciplinary team to design and implement a pioneering graduate certificate program in Dialogue, Deliberation and Public Engagement, 2004-2008. Since 2007, have served in faculty roles, including Adjunct Faculty (2007), Distinguished Visiting Professor (2014), and Faculty Fellow (2018-2020). In my faculty role, I have co-led more than 20 workshops and seminars on topics related to democracy, civil society, globalization, public policy, political participation, critical thinking, public intellectuals, and graduate research competencies. Also provided guidance to doctoral students.
