Associate General Counsel for UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement providing advice on sales and marketing-related issues for Medicare products. • Interpret state and federal rules and regulations (Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA, state insurance producer licensing laws, and CMS rules and regulations) for the Medicare Part C and Part D programs.• Provide legal support for investigations and federal and state regulator inquiries regarding misconduct related to the sales and marketing of Medicare products. • Advised on legal requirements related to calling campaigns for both federal product members as well as prospects, including issues related to the TCPA, CAN-SPAM Act and HIPAA.• Experience with vendor agreements (Master Service Agreements/Statements of Work), negotiating settlement agreements.
