I was preparing to leave Spitfire as my wife was studying in Sydney and her program was coming to an end. The position of Venue Manager came available as these preparations were being made. The position was offered to me, however, because of my limited time I took on the role until a suitable replacement could be found. During this time as the acting manager, I reported directly to the owner and oversaw operations in an expanded capacity. I oversaw between 5-12 employees daily, including training of 2 new full-time employees as well as part-time workers. When my wife was required to move out of Sydney as part of her final year of study (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine), I ended my position as Spitfire mutually (a replacement had been found and hired) in preparation for moving back to the United States of America.

During this time I became 2IC at Spitfire. My responsibilities expanded from just paintball to a venue-encompassing role. I oversaw most daily operations during my shifts including addressing issues with equipment impacting operations for paintball, racing simulators, and go-karting. part-time workers started reporting issues to me to address before I would pass on large-scale problems to the venue manager. I also worked extensively on the customer service side of the business taking customer calls and checking customer groups in. During this time my responsibilities encompassed large group organization as well, including the check-in process, safety briefings, and customer concerns for groups between 30-120 people. I was also responsible for 2-3 opens/closes per week where I was the only manager on-site.

Responsibilities: Maintain equipment stock levels, interact with customer groups during safety briefings and throughout paintball activities. During this time the business was closed for 3 months because of COVID-19 during which time I was unable to work.

Provided support for electrical engineering labs, including the creation of documentation, troubleshooting equipment, and assistance for students. Serving as the primary student technician for the entire electrical engineering labs, I supported full-time staff in training new student workers and developing materials used by the lab.

Responsible for managing workload for employees, troubleshooting technical issues, creating in-house resources and other responsibilities for daily operation. I also acted as an in-house software developer creating numerous form-fill documents and software solutions for increased efficiency.

Worked as a temporary seasonal land survey drafter to help with an influx of work job request.

Dispatch crews on outages, ensure that they are working safe distances from other crews. Handle trouble calls from members.

Designed and laid out power lines for the crew to build.
