    In Animation John has designed over 200 different television commercials, numerous TV series (in traditional 2D & 3D CGI). He directed and co-designed Voltron Force a sequel to the highly successful anime series “Voltron –Defender of the Universe”.which captured the highest rating ever for an animated series on Nickelodeon. John also recently directed the flash animation /CGI series Chaotic for 4 Kids Entertainment and Bardel Entertainment as well as two full seasons of Nilus the Sandman and the Direct to Video hits The Littlest Angel and it's sequel The Littlest Angel's Easter as well as Legend of the Candy Cane. For the past 20 years John has worked freelance as a comic book artist for DC Comics and Bongo Comics. He has penciled a wide variety of characters such as Superman, Batman, WonderWoman and the Justice League as well as Dexter’s Laboratory, Scooby-Doo, Futurama, and The Simpsons (received Eisner Award nomination).In Live Action John has been called upon to create conceptual art, design props and environments and storyboard for some of the top live action creators in the field including Chris Carter, Rob Bowmen, Daniel Sackheim and David Nutter.John has also written and drawn for the prestigious Walter Foster Company on 4 of their “How to Draw” books including How to Draw – Superman, WonderWoman, The DC Heroes and Batman Beyond. As well, John has drawn several children’s books for Golden and Dalmation books.For fifteen years John was also an instructor in animation, character design, layout/background design and storyboarding at Capilano University as well he taught life drawing, storyboarding and a “How to Draw Comic Books” course for 8 years at the prestigious Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design. As well he also teaches Character Design, Sculpting and Life Drawing.Special Skills include Photoshop, Sketchbook Pro, Premier and Sculpting
