This data strategy is comprised of, at a high level, a data repository, operational data store and enterprise data warehouse. This infrastructure delivered approximately 12K scheduled reports monthly to hundreds of hospital clients.• Architected and designed Data Asset Repository using MongoDB that maintains raw data assets and makes those available by a variety of search methods.

RelayHealth Pharmacy manages the nation’s largest pharmacy network, providing essential healthcare connectivity to retail pharmacies and payers. • Data Services Development Manager of a team of Perl/Java/Web developers and DBAs building data products for both internal and external customers. This team of 10 developers also developed and maintained the software, data and grid infrastructure that supports these products. • Architected, designed, developed and maintained 60+ server Grid infrastructure used for high volume data processing. This infrastructure enables the fast, comprehensive access to a variety of data assets in a variety of formats including NCPDP Telecom, X12 (837 and 835), UB92 and HCFA. Design and built the parsers, tracking, data retrieval, indexing modules to support the delivery of this data to both internal and external customers throughout RelayHealth.• Architected and managed the major modification of the Sun SeeBeyond EMPI to support “bulk” matching to improve match performance to necessary volume levels. This included the management of several Java developers and Sun consultants.• Designed and developed NCPDP parsers to access pharmacy claim and adjudication data to all downstream applications and data products. This parser handled telecommunication NCPDP version 2.0 to 5.1 (D).• Architected, designed, developed and managed the Provider EMPI project that integrated and uniquely identified providers (primarily physicians/prescribers) from NPPES (NPI), DEA, various states, Office of Inspector General (OIG) and two commercial sources. This index was made available via subscription and real-time services.• Architected, designed and developed a Clinical Trial Candidate Finder application that searched hospital, physician and pharmacy claims for candidates for clinical trial studies. Candidates were found based on a variety of criteria including age, inclusion/exclusion of procedures, diagnosis and drugs.

As data warehouse product manager, developed and documented best practices and methods in implementing data warehousing technology. This methodology was used to implement several data warehouses and data marts in a variety of industries. ● Credit Card ProcessingDesigned and implemented a data mart for a Credit Card processing company that deals with determining real-time credit worthiness for Web based selling of credit products. This data mart provides marketing with the information to assist them in honing and augmenting their credit worthiness models. Additionally, it provides near current information on the operation and performance of their web-based server processes.● Financial - CitigroupArchitected a large data warehousing project for a large financial company in Jacksonville, Florida. This data warehouse contained an excess of eight terabytes of credit card customer demographic, solicitation and responder data. This data is aggregated and provided to the business users on the companies Intranet using Oracle database technology and Microsoft OLAP services (now Analysis Services).● Telecommunication - Powertel, IncDatabase Manager at Powertel, managing both the technical and people resources necessary to maintain seven production systems and several dozen of developmental and testing database. All of these production systems were upgraded, modified and tuned to dramatically improve their reliability and availability to the business users.

As data warehousing product manager, documented and refined the methods in sales, marketing, consultant training, requirement analysis, design, construction and implementation of data warehouse and data mart systems. Developed proposal templates for implementing data warehouses, data warehouse pilots and prototypes. These templates, which include detailed project plans, have reduced the proposal development time from five days to one day.As Senior Data Warehouse Architect, implemented dozens of data warehousing projects. Was directly involved in all aspect of these projects including managing, requirement analysis, designing the star-schema models, developing PL/SQL modules to load the data warehouse and working with the front-end developers to maximize performance. Was an active member of the Interface Strategy team tasked to design a system that allowed near real-time, centralized access to corporate data located in a myriad of applications using a variety of database systems including DB2, Sybase, and MUMPS as well as proprietary systems. These applications included legacy systems (mainframe based), vendor, and internally developed systems as well as database warehouses and decision support.Analyzed and tested the viability of several interface and replication technologies including HCI and HubLink interface engines and Sybase and IBM replication technologies. Designed and recommended replication and interface strategies based upon analysis and product functionality testing.

As Database Engineer, designed and implemented a strategic database system for new custom multimillion dollar revenue management system for major hotel resort client. Utilized LBMS CASE tool to document a comprehensive design including requirements and analysis, logical and physical data models using dimensional and ER modeling techniques, volumetrics, TUI to database, and batch to database mappings for verification and validation.As Software Engineer, was involved in the successful design and implementations of database and batch systems for two major media corporations. He developed and refined a method of loading the database with load modules that were effective and uniform across several systems. This included batch data loading and derivations involving millions of transactions per day. Accomplishments included: design of logical and physical database models for a hotel revenue management system using a star schema model; development of a comprehensive database design document using the LBMS CASE tool; design and implementation of two databases using Oracle v6 and Oracle7.1, making extensive use of Oracle stored procedures, triggers, and data integrity constraints (database sizes ranged from 2 GB to 6 GB).
