Software Tester
Current• Overseeing UAT of multiple UAT work-streams using technical and staff resources. Ensuring work-streams produce regular progress reports and any issues identified are recorded, followed up and escalated to the Testing Manager.• Providing analysis and planning of testing requirement for projects and maintenance releases etc including impact analysis, defining test cases/conditions, environment requirement and documentation for approval by stakeholders.• Producing Test Plans that cover various activities from preparation through to the end of UAT.• Maintaining strong relationships with development teams and business areas during testing, to ensure all parties are informed of test progress in a timely manner. • Supporting the Testing Manager in identifying and recommending appropriate changes to processes and supporting documentation, adopting best practice where appropriate. • Managing staff motivation and development, and completing interim and annual appraisals• Liaison with external parties to receive demo’s and training of new software• Chairing progress meetings with IT department and business alongside team meetings• Reporting test progress to stakeholders and project group• Seeking opportunities for ways to improve day to day running of the team• Reviewing user requirement and technical documentation in order to produce test cases and contributing towards building test conditions and scripts. • Completing UAT with planned test scripts and recording output. Any defects were recorded, tracked and resolved. • Providing training and support to business areas on new developments• Updating test documentation, such as regression test packs with new test conditions/scripts.• Escalating problems or issues to Team Leader's and Management when appropriate• Liaison with external parties to ensure tests are jointly executed• Seeking opportunities for ways to improve the day to day running of the team
