IT security enthusiast experienced with access control, digital forensics and incident response, SIEMs, log management, rules creation, and automating tasks with Python, Powershell and other scripting languages. I've dabbled with pentesting and enjoy learning the various methods threat actors use to compromise victims. Currently employed as a Data Security Engineer for Sentara Healthcare's Security Architecture team.My goals include building my skills to pursue a DevSec Ops architect position to work more with automation and earning the OSCP certificate. I'd like to make the company network a hostile environment for attackers; they just need to slip up once.In my home network I manage a miniature SIEM with Splunk that receives logs from home devices as well as devices located remote at my friends' and family's homes including a Plex media server. I'm basically a small scale MSSP for free (well, experience).I also enjoy blacksmithing, working on old cars, participating in CTFs, and hiking with my wife and dogs.
