I have been extremely fortunate to have worked in the automotive industry since 1983. Primarily in customer service, demand management & logistics roles for Tier 1 engineering & manufacturing companies. This is, and will continue, to be an exciting & challenging market sector in which to make a career. This market operates in a constant state of flux driven by an unending demand for change in both customer’s requirements and market demand. It provides exciting new challenges & opportunities on an almost daily basis. I have been fortunate to have worked with some incredible teams of people over the years. Where strong relationships have been forged & developed enabling the team to deliver on business goals & targets consistently & sustainably.I have always been result driven, as the automotive market not just expects, but demands it. KPI’s are what underpins our objectives, & performance measurement is what drives us to continually deliver. My experience tells me that the power of a team is something that should never be under estimated. In my managerial roles in logistics, customer service & demand management I have had to focus on my customers, their internal operations, their business strategy and the management of change as the standards of excellence they expect can do nothing but continue to escalate. I have also in the last couple of years been heavily involved in the exciting challenges of growing our classic and heritage spares business. This additional commercial / engineering role has expanded my skill set and provided both an enjoyable and valuable experience. In the increasingly challenging market of automotive component supply every company wants to secure a competitive advantage over the competition. I consider customer service, in all its guises, to be a strategic weapon and I have used both my skills and experience to deliver that competitive advantage for my company.
