Essentials:• Supervises & manages the A/R/Collections team in the execution & delivery of services by hiring, training, coaching and mentoring staff• Manages the daily activities of the Collections Team function to ensure the accurate & timely dissemination of Receivables• Manages the monthly internal collection call process audit• Conducts analysis and interpretation of financial results• Ensures the effectiveness and efficiency of the internal control environment that includes maintenance of the receivables, process and data• Leads or assists with the implementation of any new financial accounting system or process• Provides strategic support to operations and management• Participates on and leads department or companywide projects in support of the company goals and objectives• Analyze delinquent accounts prepares recommendation for resolution• Interact with clients to obtain additional credit information to support credit lines• Submit requests to senior management and supporting documentation for accounts requiring credit lines• Reconcile transactions and balances to maintain accurate accounts• Check for credit viability on requests for extended terms, and evaluate various adjustments or exception documents• Research & make decisions on finance charges• Manages and monitor receivables and collections on a daily basis• Identify problem accounts and provide regular updates of receivables to senior management• Negotiate payment programs with delinquent customers• Identify accounts requiring collection agency involvement which does not exclude legal action• Monitor violations of credit policies, provide analysis, conclusion and recommendations, present findings to senior management and suggest actions/penalties to be taken when appropriate• Develop processes and procedures for evaluating customer financials and setting and changing credit lines/limit, as well as credit holds; implement liens as necessary to major delinquent account as approved
