Duties include drafting pleadings, setting hearing dates, etc.

I work on political asylum cases; complete several types of government forms such as employment authorization documents and help craft declarations as well as biographic information forms. I collaborate on projects with domestic violence program and help abused victims to self-petition for immigration status.I meet with asylees to gather information about cases; help petition for permanent status; organizing files and mailing forms to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration.

Graduated in May 2009 with an American Bar Association approved Paralegal certificate.

I was responsible for managing finances for seven federal grants, supporting six professors' and over fifty students' expenditures. I maintained accurate and balanced budgets and expense reports for departments' and students' finances. I worked closely with San Diego State University Research Foundation to facilitate the smooth operation of the program by getting budgets approved and grants processed.

I managed organization information for researchers in medical research center; payroll, coordinated timekeeping, phones, greeting visitors to the building. I also assisted with accounting duties in terms of formulating budgets and expense reportsHelped construct federal grants, including National Institutes of Health grants. I helped organize annual award ceremonies for science achievements; coordinated over phone with visitors, guests and colleagues.
