As I gained experience working in these various clinics, I also managed my own set of patients. • Trained in using axium dental software system for managing patients• Provided comprehensive dental care to an underserved population in North Philadelphia• Screened patients for oral cancer and pathology • Reviewed medical history and took blood pressure at every visit• Maintained Patients medical records• Took Panoramic, PA, bitewings, radiographs using digital x-ray units• Used critical thinking and analyzing skills to interpret digital radiographs• While explaining treatment plans, addressed any concerns or questions the patient might have along with the options of treatment• Provided a customizable treatment plan which included periodontal charting and analysis for each patient’s dental needs• Quarterbacked treatment for patients with various specialists including the attending general dentist, periodontist, prosthodontist, oral surgeon, and endodontist• Educated patients with oral hygiene instructions, nutritional counseling, and caries risk assessment• Provided patients with caries prevention, complete/partial dentures, fixed prosthodontics, extractions, amalgam/composite restorations, endodontic therapy, periodontal therapy• Made sure every dental visit, that the patients chief complaint was addressed
