• Successfully coordinated with executive level management to ensure locomotives were available and ready to run trains despite derailments, snow, floods, and washouts. • Taken a leading hand with new hires and ensuring they are set up for success and understand their training as best as possible and reshuffle staff assignments when I felt it was necessary to do so. • Proposed and had approved the purchase of new tooling and equipment for my staff to increase productivity while decreasing safety hazards and time spent on task. • Assigned and installed new kiosks for employees’ time entry when concerns raised the existing kiosks were not operational. • Reassigned and implemented stores systems to ensure no bad order cores are lost and parts are easier and faster to find. • Designed and implemented LSOP servicing and inspection plan to ensure no inspections or servicing dates are missed. • Temporarily travelled to Winnipeg and Montreal to protect operations with positive feedback from executive level management. • Upheld my safety accountabilities while some months exceeding quota. • Management and leadership training courses (consequence leadership) • Incident response trained and experienced. • Ensure shop was run under budget and productively. • Successfully and proudly led an injury free workplace during my tenure. • When asking staff to perform unusual or uncomfortable work (changing brake shoes in -40) or another than normal task I would personally go into the field and support my workers either standing with them helping or by stepping in and helping accelerate the task to minimize delays.
