• Identify opportunities where digital can add value to the Generation business • Create a pipeline of business cases for Generation governance boards to prioritise and seek investment to deliver • Understand how the underlying IT architecture of the Generation business works and assess impact of proposed changes to same • Develop and oversee the delivery of the Generation IT work programme • Develop, manage, report and re-forecast on the IT & Telecoms capital and operational budgets on a quarterly basis • Ensure that functional and technical changes to the IT architecture are managed and governed appropriately • Manage relationships between IT service providers and GT business users • Deliver a business co-ordination role on corporate IT projects for specific tasks including • Business Unit testing • Business readiness • Adoption and change management • Report business progress to the project manager and/or GT senior user as appropriate • Representing IT & Digital and the GT business on relevant IT fora • Supporting the IT & Digital manager and team in the planning & scheduling of the Generation Governance IT, Digital and Telecoms Change Boards.

I worked as IT Consultant on delivery of IT infrastructure Project for ESBI at Yeni Elektrik Power Station. Yeni Elektrik ÜAŞ is an 865MW combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant in Dilovası, Turkey.Yeni Elektrik selected the Dublin Bay Power Plant (DBPP) Model / adapting their proactive, modern approach to IT. The project was formulated by promoting successes at DBPP over the years, lessons learnt and knowledge transfer to Yeni Elektrik. As part of the project there were significant efforts made to promote best practices, emphasis on quality and leading edge technology used at DBPP.This work involved technical design with local consultant, RFPs, tender evaluations and supporting documenting.The scope of work covered:·I.T. Strategy - High Availability I.T. Infrastructure ·Application Services - Content Management, Asset Management, Systems Management·Infrastructure - System network management, Datacenter, Database, Cloud, Backup·Managed IT services - Network System Monitoring, Management, Helpdesk, Support and TrainingProject Cost savings - the saving were in excess of 30% of the Project budget. There will also be benefited from years of experience from DBPP gathered over the years. There will also be future cost savings as Yeni will not have to heavily invest in developing of these systems as DBPP did over the years. Providing an IT Strategy Plan for Yeni Elektri to provide guidance on IT Strategy based on best practices, lessons learnt with a long term vision for the business. This was to highlight the benefits of developing an IT Strategic Plan and how to support it.·Look at how technology links business and IT vision to look at 1, 3, to 5 Year roadmap v’s year on year approach.·Decision making helps the business understand the expected business benefits from technology.·Justification of the risks surrounding IT investment decisions maximizing the investment made in technology.
