A progressive career of some 35 years has furnished a comprehensive, qualified working knowledge of the electrical engineering sector, primarily relating to international diesel power generation sales, marketing and distribution development.Initially trained as an electrical fitter & controls wireman, subsequently diversifying into technical sales & distribution development, progressing through area, regional, general sales and distribution management positions.Experience has been gained from both field and administrative standpoints on a national and international basis with a strong emphasis on the Middle East region, within OEM and corporate manufacturing and distribution including two separate overseas appointments in Saudi Arabia of two and five years duration respectively.Responsibilities have involved all aspects of senior sales and distribution management functions, including management of sales and technical support teams, full profit and loss responsibility, planning and implementation of sales/marketing strategies designed to effectively exploit existing market areas while developing the new, appointment, motivation and training of distributors, identification and active involvement in new product development.
